Josie Stone, RN CPNP CRNI VA-BC Josie Stone is a Registered Nurse and Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience in many clinical specialty areas including Neonatal-  Intensive Care , Adult Critical care, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Education and Hospital Administration. She currently has a Clinical Education and Marketing Consulting business and speaks on vascular access topics to both National and International audiences

Josie has been very involved with Vascular Access and Infusion organizations and is certified as an INS CRNI and the AVA VA-BC. She is a member and Past President of AVA (Association for Vascular Access) and a founding member of WoCoVA where she currently serves on the Strategic Planning Committee. She also Chairs the WoCoVA Global Committee and is dedicated to the participation of countries around the world to seek and promote “best practice” patient centered care through international co-operation and education.

Objectives:

Ø  Review of vascular access device complications.

Ø  Define the components and characteristics of tissue adhesives.

Ø  Describe the purposes of tissue adhesives when used with VADs.

Ø  Analyze the clinical outcomes with tissue adhesives used with VADs
